Two Deaths in a Kilimani Apartment: What Police Have Established and What They Haven't

Police in Nairobi are still working to establish what happened inside an apartment on Chania Avenue in Kilimani, where a Vietnamese woman and a Chinese man were found dead on Tuesday. The two were identified as Nguyen Hong Ngoc and Xu Zhiyu. Police said they lived together in the apartment.

Some facts are settled. A manager reported hearing gunshots at around 10 a.m. The apartment was locked from the inside, and management opened it with a spare key. Officers found the two bodies, and crime scene officers processed the scene before the bodies were taken to Chiromo Funeral Parlour to await postmortem examinations.

Much is not. Nairobi police boss Issa Mohamud said a handwritten note found in the house is under analysis. Police are also investigating the motive and who owned the firearm recovered at the scene. They did not disclose what the two were engaged in. Investigators suspect a possible suicide pact, but the story says the circumstances have not been conclusively established. "We do not know what transpired leading to the incident, but experts are working on the issue," Mohamud said.

ODM Politician Warns Ruto: These Individuals Are Unfit for Appointment

R obert Alai has recently expressed his views on the matter of former governors being appointed by President William Ruto. Alai's argument seems to stem from a desire for a change in leadership and the introduction of new ideas into the government system. He is advocating for action to be taken, indicating that reappointing former governors who have had a substantial impact on their respective counties could impede the progress and transformation necessary for national development.
