Police in Nairobi have rolled out a sweeping security plan ahead of ODM’s Jacaranda rally, promising to protect participants while maintaining public order.
Regional Commander Mohamud said officers have been instructed to safeguard law‑abiding citizens and nearby businesses, while responding firmly to breaches of peace.
The deployment includes patrol teams, operational checkpoints, and surveillance posts to monitor crowd movements. Authorities stressed the importance of balancing civic freedoms with public safety as political leaders prepare to address governance issues and mobilize grassroots support.
Residents have been reassured that traffic and security will be managed to minimize disruption.
