Millie Odhiambo's Grandchildren Told Strangers at a Restaurant They Were Gen Z and Could Walk With Her
The part of Millie Odhiambo's Monday post that says more about her than the apology is the restaurant scene. According to the story, she wrote about a visit a few days earlier, when one of her grandchildren overheard people suggesting that public figures were increasingly being made to walk with Generation Z people for their safety.
The children did not let it pass. They went over to the group and defended their right to accompany their grandmother, saying they were Gen Zs who could freely walk with her. The Suba North MP praised their answer and used the phrase "TIBIM" to show how amused she was.
She then ended the post with a firm line against bullying, saying people should not be treated that way. The story does not say who the people in the restaurant were, which restaurant it was, or whether anyone replied to the children.
It also doesn't say exactly what "such treatment" refers to. The comment about public figures needing Gen Z escorts appears to be a jab at the current political climate, but the story doesn't explain that, and Odhiambo isn't quoted explaining it either.
All of it comes from her own telling, in a post shared on Monday, October 19. The same post carried her light-hearted reply to TikToker Nyako, so the restaurant story is best read as part of one personal update.
