Found Dead on a Riruta Road: What Detectives Have to Work With in the Jared Omayio Case

Detectives in Nairobi have opened an investigation into the death of 34-year-old Jared Omayio, whose body was found lying along a road in Suna Estate, Riruta. Police said he was discovered on October 12, 2026.

Officers who responded found two deep cuts on the left side of his forehead. A bloodstained wooden stick was recovered next to the body. Scenes of Crime officers from Dagoretti processed and documented the scene, and the body was moved to the City Mortuary to await a postmortem examination to establish the cause of death.

That is the full extent of what the story reports. It does not say who found him, when he was last seen, or what he was doing in the area.
