Boda Boda Rider Injured in Crash After Allegedly Snatching Woman's Phone in Machakos

A boda boda rider was seriously injured in a road accident in Nguluni, Matungulu, Machakos County, shortly after he allegedly snatched a woman's mobile phone and tried to escape at high speed.

According to preliminary reports shared by Musyi FM on its Facebook page, residents who saw the alleged theft joined forces to chase the rider. His escape ended when he lost control of the motorcycle and plunged into a roadside ditch.

The area chief confirmed that the injured man was taken to Machakos County Referral Hospital for urgent treatment. Police officers also visited the scene and recorded details of the accident.

The rider is expected to face charges over the alleged theft after he receives medical attention, subject to police investigations and the legal process. Investigators are expected to establish the full circumstances, including what led up to the alleged snatching and the crash.
