Arsenal Had 12 Corners and 18 Shots but Needed Until the 68th Minute to Put Everton Away

Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 at home on Saturday, October 24, and the scoreline undersells how one-sided the match was. Mikel Arteta's side had 58 per cent of the ball, 18 shots to Everton's 8, and 12 corners to 3. Yet only three of those 18 shots were on target, and the points were not safe until the second goal.

The first came in the 7th minute, which gave Arsenal the early lead they wanted. The second arrived in the 68th, just as Arteta made three substitutions between the 67th and 68th minutes. The photo captions show defender Gabriel Magalhaes celebrating after scoring, so he got one of the two goals.

Everton, under David Moyes, defended in numbers and absorbed the pressure. They had as many shots on target as Arsenal (three each), but collected three yellow cards, at 45, 66 and 79 minutes, as they tried to hold the line. Arsenal picked up one.

The result puts Arsenal on a winning run before their trip to Liverpool on Sunday, November 1, which will be a much harder test.

ODM Politician Warns Ruto: These Individuals Are Unfit for Appointment

Alai's argument seems to stem from a desire for a change in leadership and the introduction of new ideas into the government system. He is advocating for action to be taken, indicating that reappointing former governors who have had a substantial impact on their respective counties could impede the progress and transformation necessary for national development.
