Much of what has circulated about the death of 21-year-old Feruz Hussein comes from reports and allegations. The documents are firmer ground. The story says papers obtained by Citizen Digital, including a police report acknowledgement and a letter to a mortuary superintendent, show her death was logged as a suspected homicide.
The matter was reported at Sunton Police Station in Kasarani Sub County on September 30, 2026, under Occurrence Book number 37. The mortuary letter states her remains were retrieved from a house in the Githurai Sunton area. It also shows the case was being handled as a police matter, with an autopsy anticipated to help establish how she died.
Police are hunting a man named in the story as Nelson Ambia over the alleged killing, and detectives are trying to establish the sequence of events. He has not been arrested or charged, and nothing about his guilt has been tested in court. Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has announced a KSh50,000 reward for information leading to his capture, and said he was recently seen in Kakamega County, which remains unconfirmed.
The story does not give the autopsy result, say whether police have confirmed the allegations about a recording, or quote an officer. Hussein's family is demanding justice.
