Lower Savannah MCA Aspirant Ibrahim Nyangweso Hospitalized After Fall at Linda Mwananchi Rally

Ibrahim Nyangweso, an aspirant for the Lower Savannah MCA seat, is currently receiving hospital treatment after sustaining injuries during the Linda Mwananchi Rally in Nairobi.

According to reports, Nyangweso fell from atop a moving vehicle while engaging with members of the public during the campaign event. Witnesses say he was with Nuru Okanga at the time.

Accounts of the incident indicate that Nyangweso had climbed onto the vehicle to address supporters and traders as the rally passed through the city. He reportedly lost his footing while attempting to steady himself as the vehicle continued moving, causing him to fall awkwardly and sustain a serious back injury. He is said to have been unable to walk immediately following the fall.

In the aftermath, Nyangweso has appealed for financial support to help cover his medical expenses, saying his condition requires ongoing treatment and that further tests and medication may be needed as doctors continue assessing his injuries. He described settling his current hospital bills as urgent.

Separately, local observers noted that the incident took place not long after a video circulated online showing Okanga — described as a close ally of the late Raila Odinga — addressing traders at Marikiti while standing atop a vehicle. No connection between the two events has been established; they are simply reported as having occurred close together in time.

Nyangweso, who is running for MCA, said he remains optimistic about his recovery but that the associated costs are beyond what he can currently afford. He has appealed to the public, well-wishers, and supporters for contributions, however small, to help meet his treatment needs.

ODM Politician Warns Ruto: These Individuals Are Unfit for Appointment

R obert Alai has recently expressed his views on the matter of former governors being appointed by President William Ruto. According to Alai, governors who have served more than two terms should not be considered for any appointments. He further emphasized that President Ruto should avoid appointing anyone who has already served as governor for two terms, suggesting that this group should be completely excluded from consideration. This stance has sparked a significant amount of discussion among Kenyans on various social media platforms, with many individuals sharing their perspectives on the issue. Alai's argument seems to stem from a desire for a change in leadership and the introduction of new ideas into the government system. He is advocating for action to be taken, indicating that reappointing former governors who have had a substantial impact on their respective counties could impede the progress and transformation necessary for national development. This perspective reflects...
