Babu Owino Alleges DCI, Kasarani Police Involved in Man's Death; Claim Remains Unverified

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has alleged that police officers from DCI Headquarters and Kasarani Police Station arrested and killed a man identified as Antony Ochieng.

Owino made the claim in a Facebook post on September 23, but did not specify when or where the alleged arrest and killing took place. He also did not name the officers he accused, detail the circumstances that led to Ochieng's arrest, or provide any evidence to support the allegation.

The claim could not be independently verified at the time of reporting, and there has been no official statement from the DCI or the National Police Service confirming it. The identities of the officers allegedly involved, the reason for Ochieng's arrest, and the circumstances surrounding his reported death remain unclear.

The post comes amid continued public scrutiny of police conduct and how suspects are treated during arrests and investigations in Kenya. Allegations of this nature require confirmation through official records and independent evidence before they can be established as fact.

If substantiated, the claim would raise serious questions about the circumstances of Ochieng's reported arrest and death, and whether due process was followed. However, no such conclusion can be drawn from the MP's statement alone. Further information from police, Ochieng's family, witnesses, or other credible sources would be needed to establish what actually happened.

Authorities may be expected to clarify whether any investigation has been opened into the allegation and to provide further details as the matter develops.

ODM Politician Warns Ruto: These Individuals Are Unfit for Appointment

R obert Alai has recently expressed his views on the matter of former governors being appointed by President William Ruto. According to Alai, governors who have served more than two terms should not be considered for any appointments. He further emphasized that President Ruto should avoid appointing anyone who has already served as governor for two terms, suggesting that this group should be completely excluded from consideration. This stance has sparked a significant amount of discussion among Kenyans on various social media platforms, with many individuals sharing their perspectives on the issue. Alai's argument seems to stem from a desire for a change in leadership and the introduction of new ideas into the government system. He is advocating for action to be taken, indicating that reappointing former governors who have had a substantial impact on their respective counties could impede the progress and transformation necessary for national development. This perspective reflects...
